I'm a Full-Stack Web Developer that's as passionate about the code as I am the pixels

The Code

Over the last 10 years, I have developed websites and web applications for the public and private sector. Employing modern design fundamentals, such as, responsive web design, progressive enhancements, graceful degradation, and unobtrusive JavaScript. From Java to Node.js; XHTML and CSS to HTML5 and CSS3; Subversion (SVN) to Git; I enjoy the initiative of learning each new technology’s application to improving the projects I develop. Below are some of my recent projects; please shoot me a quick email if you would like to see more.

  • You Are Here:

  • Lindauson.com

  • Glimbaro Int'l Pest Control - glimaro.com is a results-driven, web application, developed to meet three major objectives: Account Management, Scheduling, and Bill Payment.

The front-end is built on Bootstrap 3, leveraging HTML5/CSS3, Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG), @font-faces, jQuery and JavaScript. The back-end is developed using Google App Engine (Python), Django, and Google Cloud SQL.

  • Elton & Sadio's Wedding - A big part of development is manipulating existing code. This website is the result of a heavily modified template, built with HTML5/CSS3, PHP, and JavaScript. It's hosted on a simple L.A.M.P. (Linux Apache, MySQL and PHP) back-end.

  • Example Engineering - A proof-of-concept for an engineering firm that needed a Content Management System (CMS), to publish their portfolio of projects. All project-related information is dynamic (even the css).

The CMS is built with Django and hosted on Google App Engine. I'm using Google Cloud Storage for images, and Cloud SQL for the database. The template is built from scratch with Bootstrap 3, Sass (with Compass), HTML5 and CSS3, JQuery, JSON, AJAX, and vanilla JavaScript.

The code is public on GitHub.

  • Lindauson Hazell - Lindauson.com is simply about my Code, Pixels, and Contact. The site has been designed to be technology agnostic: supporting features available on high-resolution (Retina) displays, and modern browsers; but, also fully functional in older browsers such as Internet Explorer 8.

Built from the ground up with Bootstrap 3, this site utilizes the following front-end technologies: HTML5/CSS3, SVG, custom @front-faces, jQuery, and JavaScript. The back-end runs on Google App Engine (Python), with Django and Google Cloud SQL.

My Toolbox:

The Pixels

Good design is fundamentally about communication. Whether I am developing user experiences (UX) or logos, the message should immediately be visually and emotionally apparent to the user/observer. Below are a few things I have designed as part of the web development process:
